I'm very proud to be gay and I could care less what religion accepts me. I consider myself to be a "Recovering Catholic" but that doesn't mean I'm not Christian. I still have a relationship with GOD ... I just don't need to do it within the parameters of any organized religion.
My problem is with the church and the people who run it. Lets face the facts, there's enough Archaeological evidence to prove that the Church has been lying and manipulating people for years. The true meaning of Christianity has been lost through power, greed, lies and yes .... even lust. The Vatican is not impervious to its own sexual inappropriateness which you'll never hear about ... but does exist. Until I find a religion that's "getting it right" on what being a good Christian/human being is, then I'll join that community. However, until then I'm very happy maintain a 1 on 1 relationship with God and celebrating Christ in my own way.

Many faiths accept GLBT people: Pagan, Wiccan, Unitarian, Buddhist, Atheism, Agnosticism, Satanism, most eastern religions, and many others that I cannot think of at the moment. Almost all faiths are accepting with the exception of Christianity and Islam. Many liberal leaning parishes are welcoming, but that is a church by church basis and not usually the faith as a whole. I once spoke with a Jewish Rabbi that said that his faith has no official opinion on homosexuality, that it is not a sin to be gay, but it is a sin to have sex outside of marriage. Now that there are states where we can all get married I guess that trumps that as well.
As for your second question: I am proud to be gay. Not in a sense that I have to push it in everyone's face, but in the fact that I am proud who and what I am and of everything I have accomplished. Coming to terms with my own sexuality took many years and is part of my overall identity.

Many Except gay people, but there are more and more that are accepting of gays.
My minister is openly gay and we have a huge and growing congregation of old and young, straight and gay members. We're as diverse as they get and everyone gets along beautifully and lovingly. I'm proud of my church and my community.
My church? Religious Science

I could care less what religion accepts me. The bible is just a bunch of fairy tales. I am no more "proud" to be gay than I am to have blonde hair or blue eyes. I just am. I am certainly NOT ashamed of it.

Progressive Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Jayns, Islam, etc.
Lately in America the Religious right has convinced some people that they speak for most spiritually minded people. But in reality, they are an extremist minority. They are our version of the Taliban.

God is the only being which could make one in each and every of those judgement. The bible says that one and all have sinned and fallen in need of the honour of God. for this reason no person is in a position to decide different than for God. this is why that Chris died for our sins, God looked into the international and no-one became without sin, for this reason noone ought to die for yet another mans sin. "the wages of sin is dying". dying = religious dying = hell. to respond to your question... a real CHRISTian won't hate all and assorted. I lived with a bisexual for a 300 and sixty 5 days. in reality he's a sturdy chum of mine and that i and my spouse. i do no longer condone his life-form, yet am no longer worth to decide him because i actually am some distance from suitable. i visit tell him what the bible says approximately his life-form and coach him it in scripture. yet i won't push it on him nor take care of him any distinctive than every physique else. by making use of the way, God made various judgments against human beings interior the previous testomony. At that element human beings sacrificed animals to cover their sin as a dying had to be paid to pay the cost of their sin. whilst God died on the flow interior the flesh physique talked approximately as Jesus he somewhat actually shed his blood transforming into a human sacrifice paying Gods required fee for sin. being "tempted on all factors as like we are" and nonetheless being without sin he became the only being worth to make one in each and every of those sacrifice.
