Hard question to answer cause there are basically 2 different types of survey sites (1) You visit the home page (every now and then) do the surveys that interest you, maybe do a few free offers and you get paid once a month..once you reached minimum payout (2) the second type of survey is a "focus group"..the advantages is that these types of surveys are better paying, you get surveys that are based on the information that you give them.. the disadvantages are that sometime you don't get any surveys for a few days and to prove that you are serious, you have to pay a fee (you can make this back by your second survey)....I can also share a link with you that helped me get started (I do both types of surveys)..

I carry out quite a few paid surveys each day, The money is not too bad at all. No one's going to get rich doing this but it helps me out loads at the end of each month and covers half my mortgage payments.
I had to quite a bit of searching about and got ripped off twice before I found this site :

I have found several legitimate work at home sites so far, and I made $1,300+ so far this month and over $850 last month. They are free to join.

And by the way--never join a work at home program that wants you to pay up front. If they were making that much money, they wouldn't need to charge you.
