its between tourettes and thyroid disease. the thing is, we have to choose something that "runs" in the family. hyperthyroidism runs in my family. i was thinking about doing it but i dont really like the topic because there isnt really much information that suggests it can be inherited.

tourettes does not run in my family but i can still do that topic. i chose to do this since i know that it can be inherited but they havent found the gene that is responsible for this disease and also in hyperthyroidism. i like tourette because it is interesting what these people with the disease have to go through.

which do u think is the better one to do?

There was in interesting study done at Harvard by Dr. Matthew State. The paper is titled "Sequence Variants in SLITRK1 Are Associated with Tourette’s Syndrome" and had to do with gene mapping TS patients.

You could look it up if you pick Tourettes.

I say only do Tourettes if you know someone that has it. Part of the reason for doing something that "runs in the family" is usually for personal experiences or something of the like to be inserted.

If its purely research, no personal stories or anything, then do Tourettes becuase it is absolutly inherited genetically.
