My Mom has been working on this market and it has a new owner... he hasn't been paying her with checks... and she's been bugging him about it because she wants to do her taxes next year...
He called her yesterday to tell her that she no longer works there... he fired her because she missed work saturday ..because i had to take her on an emergency to the hospital ..she has a doctors note...
plus... there are workers there that don't have legal documents to work.. and he pushes them around... and they feel they can't do anything since they are illegal immigrants.. but my Mom does have papers and we are looking for info in order to stop what he is doing....
Can anyone please help me out.. on what it is that we can do...
and can I do it online?
and he isn't paying the other workers about 5.50 an hour... which is seriously wrong... and they don't report that cause they got no legal documents.. and they're afraid...

You need to contact a lawyer. If you have a doctors note it is illegal to fire someone. You could easily sue him. And, if he's hiring illegal immigrants as workers, and giving them pay below the minimum wage, (assuming that you're in the US) that is a crime punishable by law.
You can't do this online, you need to contact the authorities and get them involved.
As far as paying by check, he's not required to do that. As long as he sends you a W-2 form or 10-99 form depending on what type of work you do and whether you own a business, that's okay. You are sapposed to recieve those forms by January 31st.
