I know every baby is different, and all that, but on average, what is it suposed to be?

My baby is 17.5-18lbs.

My baby boy was 16lbs and 25inches at 4mo, he is now 6mo and is 18lbs and 27inches. I had someone the other day tell me he looked like he was a year old!! I told her, you must not have seen a one year old before, people are crazy!

My baby is 4 1/2 months and weighs 15 pounds. She was born 8 lbs, 2 oz. She is in the 50th percentile!

If you figure that your baby weighed in at 7lbs at birth they should gain about 2 pounds a month. So your baby should weigh anywhere from between 13 and 15 lbs. That is an average weight :) Good Luck !!!! Blessings, Donna

My daughter was 15 lbs at 4 months but she was 95% on the charts for weight.

13-15 pounds is normal. See the website below it gives the percentiles.

My son was 18lbs 11oz and was at the 95th percentile. It's all normal!

We can't tell you because there isn't an average, but we can tell you the weight of our babies anda you can do your own average, my baby was 6.5 kilos

babies should ideally double their birth weight by the time they hit 5 months ... so unless your baby weighed more than 9 lbs at birth, your baby is overweight...
