Lakers: 2-1 vs Jazz, one win of which Kobe had 52; 2-1 vs Spurs, who aren't what they used to be; 2-1 vs Houston one win of which Lamar went out early; 1-1 vs Suns, win without Kobe, loss in a tough game in Phx by 5 pts without Lamar and Luke when they didn't play all that well to begin with. The Lakers have the players, they just need to stay healthy, and yes, Kobe can do it, there's no question about it.

The lakers are a good team and the kobe and lamar make for a good combo pack. but in the western conference playoffs, u need great teams and combos. like nash and stat, and dirk and the whole dallas team, and t-mac and yao. the lakers will no doubt get into the playoffs, but i think it is obvious that they have no chance if they end up at 7th or 8th seed. sixth seed seems likely for them and the jazz look lke the only team (other than nuggets or warriors) that the lakers can match up against. notice i said match up against, not nessisarily beat because the jazz is the only team in the west everyone is saying will lose to any team they play in the first round and i think they are one of the best teams in the league and not many teams (especially nuggets, lakers, warriors) can beat them and their record backs me up. but back to the lakers, kobe is doing a great job by keeping a little respect in the lakers and himself but it will soon all go away once the first round of the playoffs begin.

definitely.
I'm not a big Kobe fan because he is kind of a ball hog unlike most others. Most players shoot it when they get it but Kobe calls for it every time and takes half the team's shots.
But anyway, they are in the 6th seed now with 15 games left. The standings are below
5. HOU 42-25 13.0 GB
6. LAL 35-32 20.0 GB
7. DEN 33-31 20.5 GB
8. GS 32-36 23.5 GB
They won't pass Houston but they won't fall behind Golden State. I do think they will fall behind Denver for #7.
If they fall to #7, they have no chance in the playoffs. They will have to play #2 Phoenix or maybe Dallas but either way they will lose.
But if they stay ahead of Denver and get #6, they will play #3 San Antonio or Utah. They have to hope for Utah because San Antonio will probably beat them too.
So Kobe can get them in but not far.

he might be able to but i highly doubt it. if you look at how good the lakers were at the beginning of this year and in the playoffs last year, kobe was getting at least 7-10 assists a lot of the time, and they were winning. they would win because kobe is one of those guys where the second he gets the ball, you have to double team him. he would pass out of those double teams and people would have good shot attempts. the lakers were able to fake out any defense this way.
if kobe just scored about 25 a game but dished out like 7 or 8 assists per game, the lakers would be insane. but the lakers wont listen to me will they?

I like when Kobe acts as a team player. But desperate times means desperate measure. I think his teamates are fine with his "One-Man show" because it leads them to winning the game.

To tell you the truth, I think teams win championships, not 1 person.Kobe needs to go back to the way he was before the allstar and help his teamates get better. Unless they were in a tough spot, Kobe should easy up on the 50+ games.
