i'm considering swapping a 12v cummins (94-98.5 dodge pickups-maybe even <93) into my truck and would like to know what kind of milage you dodge diesel owners are getting.

i would appreciate it if you guys can include your drivetrain and body specs like body style (reg/ext cab. and bed length- or just your estimated weight), transmission, gear ratios, and whether it's 4x4 or 4x2. i also want to know if anyone has an aftermarket gear splitter (for extra overdrive ratios) for their trannies.

thanks in advance

you don't say what your wanting to put it in? lots of variables.
93 12 valve with 411 gears and 5 speed gets about 14mpg
2001 with 24 valve 355 gears and 5 speed gets about 18 mpg. friend had 95 with 12 valve and 355 gears and he gets about 18 mpg also. another friend had an 01 ford with powerstroke ,350 gears and a standard he gets about 18 mpg on the hwy but when were loaded both the 93 and 01 cummins will leave him in the dust
