You could always check wikipedia.org. If that doesn't work try some various google searches. Note that putting quotation marks around something in google makes it search for that exact phrase. For instance if your search is

african musical instruments

you will get things with the word african, the word musical, or the word instruments. Typing

"african musical instruments"

will get mostly results with that exact phrase.
