I agree. That true match is wonderful. I had been searching for the "perfect" makeup for years and finally came across True Match. And I was able to match up everything on the website. I love the way the makeup feels and looks on my face. U should give it a try. I use all their products.

The trick to matching foundation is to do a test on the bottom of your cheek so that you can match the color to your neck. You want to match it to your neck so that you have a steady flow and not a make-up "mask" Testing on your hands does absolutely no good since your hands are more exposed to the sun. Also a good rule is to poke your skin on your wrist and when you release it you will notice either a quick flash of a yellow tone or blue. Most people are warm skin toned (yellow) and if that is your case stick with the warm shades of natural. Also if you buy your products at rite aid or longs, keep your receipt. You can return or exchange it if you don't like it.
Good luck

Try putting it on your jawline and then going to test it in natural light. Your hand is not the same color as your face so there's no point testing on your hand. Your inner wrist is a bit closer to your face color but not exactly. Are you sure you need foundation? I think usually it looks cakey and horrible on people. Try tinted moisturizer. Stila makes a good one, you can get it on sephora.com. L'Oreal is kinda cheap... go for something more expensive if you must do the foundation thing.

I actually love L'Oreal's actual tournament a lot more advantageous than Revlon Colorstay. i have tried both and that i fairly did not like how thick and heavy the Revlon starting up felt on my dermis. I had oily/pimples companies dermis and in view that it replaced into this kind of heavy starting up, i finished up breaking out some times even as utilizing the starting up. Revlon's starting up is more advantageous powerful once you've prevalent/dry dermis. even if, for universal placed on, i'd advise adverse to it pretty once you've pimples-companies dermis. L'Oreal's actual tournament, on the different hand, is quite mild-weight, oil-free, tremendous blendable and has SPF safe practices. the actual tournament swatches they have are fairly accessible so that you'll locate the right dermis tone. now to not teach, they narrow it down with assistance out of your undertone as well. The oil-free is fairly tremendous once you've oily or pimples companies dermis. It gained't wreck you out yet shop in ideas whenever you start up utilizing a sparkling starting up, verify you spot verify first. note a touch on your cheek first and see once you've any allergic reaction to it or breakouts and so on. That being suggested, once you've dry dermis, i doesn't advise this starting up except you verify you moisturize formerly utilizing this starting up. because it really is so mild-weight, it has a tendency to settle in the little cracks on your dry dermis. yet in case you moisturize formerly utilizing, you need to be waiting to prevent this difficulty.

if you're on your own when shopping, try out foundation on the inside of your arm - it should be the same tone as your face
but if you're with a mate, just rub a couple of shades on your face + get them to decide which is the right colour for you

When I wanted to pick a foundation, I went into Sephora and became "interested" in one of their main lines, the bare minerals. They showed me how to apply it and put some on half of my face. By knowing what shade of foundation I was with that line, it made it much easier to figure it out with other lines. Also, I hear that you shouldn't test the color on your hand, you want to blend it on the side of your cheek near your jaw line.

I like Loreal True Match foundation. You can go on their website and it will help you match a shade. Use the matching powder too.
