I was thinking about going to Humboldt State, and I wanted to know how the weather was like over there. Does it snow? How does it compare to Los Angeles weather? How hot/cold does it get?

As someone else said, it is nothing like LA. Cold, Foggy, and windy are the best ways to describe the Northern CA coast. Summer temps rarely go above 70 and are usually in the low 60's. The hottest temperature ever recorded in Arcata was 87 degrees. It doesn't snow but it's really cool most of the year. Low 50's in the winter during the day and low 60's during the summer. And it rains a lot during the winter, similar to what Seattle or Portland might recieve.

Even though it's a pretty cool climate, it doesn't get that cold b/c it's close to the coast. The temperature varies less than 10 degrees from it's coldest month to it's warmest month. You're pretty much going to be wearing pants and a sweathshirt year round. The following link shows the average temps and rainfall for the year:

Clearly someone has never been to Eureka California.

That area is much more like Oregon weather than LA. Much more rain, cooler temps, fog, and less sun. No it does not snow, and you are not going to see summer highs anywhere near what you see in LA. The weather is very different than LA, you need to like clouds, rain and the cold.

If you are coming from LA, prepare for culture shock. Please visit first...

The weather is very similar to L.A., with the exception of a little more rain and fog in the winter.
