I have been getting cramps the last few days but nothing consistent. Today I have been having more, and they are more frequent and a little stronger.

I'm not sure if I ever had Braxton Hicks, so I don't know how to compare it to that. And they don't feel severe enough to be real labor. The cramps last a few seconds to a minute and are not regular, but are becoming more frequent.

Is this something to look into, or just wait it out?

Sounds like braxon hicks to me. Your body is getting the uterus ready for the real thing, so it may start happening more often. If it starts happening a lot, like more than 8 or 10 times an hour, you may want to call your Dr to let them know. Congrats and good luck with delivery!!

When I had Braxton Hicks, it was just a tightness and not pain. The menstral cramps sound like real labor to me.

Could be Braxton Hicks, although you may want to check in with your doctor. But, once they get to be 10 minutes apart head for the hospital

Have you dilated any centimeters....? It happened to me when I was 37 weeks. I don't think they are Braxton Hicks cause I thought the same thing. I wasn't really sure but I think is was because I had been dilating slowly! Like one more every week. And i started to get cramps. Even when it was my due date they still endused the baby to come. So don't be to worried I'm sure you'll be FINE. !!!!!!Congrats!!!!!!

Start charting. How long, how frequent. Do they come on as a 'wave' getting more and more intense and then fading away, or does a change of position (i.e. bending, stretching) make them go away?

At this point--EVERYTHING is something to look into. Do not feel like you are bothering your doctor or the nurse. If you have a concern or a question--CALL THEM! They get paid for this, they expect this, they are used to this, and, to be honest, they love this. So call them whenever you have a question, even if it is every day.

First off Congrats...yes this could be Braxton Hicks, kinda like period cramps that dont last too long.
I would call your midwife/Dr. and let them know just incase.
And just so they know as well.

This could easily be BH but could also be labor. Just wait it out and see. I know dumb answer but...you'll know it when it's time!
