I want to show my going to be boy friend that i understand his problem completely and i i dont want to see him sad,
i dont have much tto say to him, and i dont want to look lie a person that doensnt care.
what can i do to make him happy, or atleast show him that i tottaly understand him?

No one can make anyone else happy. It has to come from inside of him. The rest of your post makes no sense. What is a "going to be boyfriend"? Do you hope to win him over? Did he promise to date when he comes out of his slump? If you have nothing to say to him, why do you want to be his girlfriend? Find out what interests him and decide if you like it too. Otherwise find a new guy.
If you totally understand him, why don't you know what to say?

Well...it's difficult to offer any help when I'm not certain of the problem.
Wild guess here--if there's no immediate cause to your boyfriend's sadness, does he suffer from depression? This can be a complex and devastating condition. It may not be in your power to "make him happy." You may not actually "totally" understand him.
Tread cautiously. Change your goal. You cannot "make" other people happy.
