Not my face, my body. I'm not even talking mirrors at likea funhouse or disstorted ones. I just mean regular day-to-day mirrors always make me look different. Some of them make me look hippier ( which is a good thing), and others I look more straight up and down, it's so weird. And it's not just a slight difference, it's dramatic. Which mirrors and accurate and how should I slant a mirror to get the most accurate portrayal. For example, I heard mirrors tilted forwards make you look thinner, and mirrors that are straight make you look fatter. How do I position my mirror so that I get the most accurate view of my body shape. Not neccessarily size, but shape. Thanx!
Also, how far should u stand from a mirror for the most accurate portrayal?

most accurate portrayal - right next to it will give the closest to exact, otherwise, proportion is maintained (for flat mirrors)

to get a funhouse mirror, the mirror is curved, bent or slightly dented so that it is no longer flat. that way, the light bouncing on it, bounces off at different angles making it seem like the object itself is distorted

the most accurate mirror is a flat one perpendicular to the ground

I dont know maybe you are actually looking hippier. I think you should stand in the middle of the mirror at least a foot away for best results.

trick mirrors. its because they are curvy, not the edges, the mirror part. like forward and backward, you know?

the reason is that the light is either refracting or reflecting from your eyes to your refletion that you see. either a mirror is refractive, comvex, or the normal kind.
