Depends on how old you are and what you're looking for.
Laganas is basically 1 long street ( strip ) the younger tend to concentrate on the beach end were 3-4 clubs are and 20 or so bars.
The beach is narrow but the water is fine and renting out a motor boat for the day ( 50 euros ) is well worth it.
We saw a couple of turtles while out on the motor boat.
take a trip over to the small island, there is a great little secluded beach

Not been to Laganas at night but during the day!! Can tell you though that its got shed loads of bars/clubs etc and a nice beach!! The turtles are a bit further down at Kalamaki which is approx a 5-10 min walk on the beach plus theres always loads of boat trips offered to go see them. Hire a pedalo for an hour and you've got a great chance to see them.

Depends what you like. If you like really loud, noisy resorts with massive clubs and bars, with loads of English People in them, then Laganas is for you. I did see turtles, but down the coast from there (I think the turtles have the good sense to avoid the noise of Laganas like the plague.)

It had a great nightlife. The only problem was that I rarely saw any Greek people. Most people were British. Sometimes they get so rowdy; they threw my friend down on the hood of the car and tried to do dirty things to her while their friends took pictures. The island itself is gorgeous though, but we didn't see any turtles when we were out on the boats. Maybe they weren't in season.

The night life is what you want to make it i personally am not bothered about the night life but there seemed to be plenty of it while i was there, but it wasn't in your face if you didn't want it to be and yes we saw the turtles in fact my hubby swam with one as it came right up under him as he was out for a swim and that was right off laganas beach.
