A few of the things I have gotten my wife for special occasions: An eternity ring, a past-present-and future necklace, a trip back to our honeymoon hotel, had her bridal bouquet remade using silk flowers, a mother's ring, a surprise brunch at a local bed and breakfast for her and her closest friends, always breakfast in bed, I was at work so I had lunch delivered to her from her favorite restaurant, and I have also cooked a gourmet meal myself for her on occasion.

RE:
What do women hope for on their 30th birthday?
My wife is turning 30 in September (yes, I am planning ahead) and I'd like to get some ideas of what women like to do to celbrate this birthday. I wasn't really very keen on it, myself, and didn't feel inclined to celebrate my 30th birthday.
Is this a time to plan a trip to Vegas...

I don't really pay attention to b-days... In fact, I've been known to forget my own b-day, let alone other people's. It's just not that important (if anything, it's becoming more and more unpleasant to realize that every year I'm getting a year older!) I don't remember doing anything "special" for my 30th b-day, I don't think it was any different than the 29th or the 31st b-days. Somehow, I just don't feel I need b-days or anniversaries or any other "special" dates to get out and do something I REALLY want to do. My husband and I do fun things all the time, no matter what day of the week it might be. Talk to your wife and find out what is it that she would rather do on her b-day. 30th b-day meant nothing to me personally, but it may mean something to her. Find out! :)

If you could promise her that she won't see ONE more gray hair, or wrinkle show up on her face, dude....you take the Nobel Peace Prize.
Realistically, though?
I think you whisking her off someplace just the two of you, and totally romancing her would be the best birthday ever. Treat her like you've never been more interested in her than now.

Almost all of those sound great, with the exception of the day at mom's with extended family (that would be stressful, but that's just my opinion) and the day being pampered at home (with a toddler and a brand new baby, mom will feel obligated to help with them, even if you insist you have the situation under control).

I`m thirty, eheh. I got plastic surgery for my birthday! My husband figured, I had his kids, I`m a loving wife, why not treat me to something I always wanted!!But most women want something personal, something big!! Being 30 is really scarey, you can`t say you`re a young women anymore!!!!!!

Treat her for a day at the spa and get herself pampered. Then has a party for her. Celebrating with her family. For her 35th plan that Vegas trip. If she just has a baby I'm sure she won't want to be so far away from her newborn. I wouldn't!

I like the spa idea......I was already a mom at 30 too so I didn't get all freaked out like some women who do not have children tend to get...we hit 30 and our clock starts ticking louder! But your wife already has her children, so I think having a small child and her expecting another, a nice relaxing day at the spa would be nice. And then take her out for a nice dinner, just the two of you!

DIAMONDS!!! There is nothing that says I love you more and for longer than diamonds! Diamond earrings is what I wanted after I had my 2 children and turned 30. I wear them everyday and smile knowing that I have this beautiful treasure to remind me of my husband's love and appreciation, that I can one day pass on to my own daughter!
A spa day while nice is fleeting and is hard with a little one at home, especially if she is still nursing, diamonds last forever.
