I took my first depo shot in October, and never took another one because, well let's just say I'm pretty sure the shot is meant to make you feel so crappy that sex isn't an option, thats how it really works! No, but really we are trying to get pregnant now, and I have heard it is possible to conceive when you ovulate, just prior to having your first regular period off the shot. Meaning, I didn't get my first regular period til about a week and a half ago, but it was only like 3 days long. Do, you think I could have gotten pregnant that quick?

I was on the depo shot for nearly four years and once i stopped taking it i became pregnant in 11 months.

My sister took the shot twice and she became pregnant a year later. Everyone is different. You may be pregnant or you may not.

Depo-Provera is not a good choice if you want to be pregnant in the next year or two. Why? Because it typically takes 9 to 10 months to become pregnant after you stop taking Depo-Provera as a contraceptive. It could even take up to 24 months after discontinuing use of Depo-Provera for you to become pregnant. The length of time you use Depo-Provera has no effect on how long it takes you to become pregnant.

Took me 18 months to get pregnant after the shot. I had only been on it for 2 cycles before I had a allergic reaction to it...lets just say that there is no way to get it out of your body so a rash for 3 months is great!! Anyways I found out after 18 months that the shot had stopped my body from ovulating and I had to take clomid to get pregnant.

I also was on depo shot (hated it as well). Last April was my last shot. The shot can remain in your system AFTER you get your first few periods. Actually, it can stay in your system for up to (and in some cases over) a year. Mine remained in my system for 6 months before I got my first period. Although I got my first period and many since then, the shot can still be in my system as well as in yours.

You could have. Anything's possible, really. But you still want to keep trying, especially since you just came off the shot. Good luck!

yes it is possible. i had a show for the first three month with my first baby.but if you are not and want to get pregnant a good tip i was told is , to make sure you dont go to the loo for as long as you can after sex , else you wash a lot away when you pass urine.
