This stain is really stubborn! I’ve tried doing what my mother in law told me she said to soak it in olive oil. That didn’t work. Then I looked around online, I found several websites showing me how to remove stains. Baking soda, Lemon juice, club soda, cooking it with a bar of soap. Nothing works!! Should I just throw away her dress or is there something out there that can help?? --- I probably sound dumb for not just throwing it away…. But it is her favorite dress…I mean she literally sleeps with it next to her.

OKAY THIS IS GOING TO GO AGAINST EVERYTHING WE WERE TAUGHT.IT DID WITH ME BUT IT WORKS. TAKE U KIDS SHIRT AND TURN THE HOT WATER ON AS HARD AS U CAN.THEN LET IT RUN THROUGH ONLY THE FABIC THAT IS STAINED. MAKE SURE IT RUNS THROUGH THE PART THAT IS STAINED.IF U WANT FIRST PUT A PRETREAT ON IT.IT WORKS GREAT IF U DO IT RIGHT AFTER THE STAIN HAS HAPPEN.BUT SOME OF MINE HAVE DRIED AND IT STILL DID THE JOB.I USE THE TUB DUE TO THE WATER IS MORE FORCEFUL..GREAT ON BLOOD STAINS.GOOD LUCK

When I have spaghetti sauce stains on my clothing, I rinse the area with cold water in the sink as soon as possible, as it will come out much quicker. If I can't do that, I treat it as soon as possible, then I pour a little bit of Dawn dish soap & licquid Tide, on the spot (s) rub it in for a few minutes, as hard as you can, let set a few minutes. If the stain is still there, rub the spot again, until it pretty much disappears, then wash as you normally would. It works for me. Era laundry detergent is great for stain removal also.

For bad stains I use Zout, which is sold in the laundry section of the supermarket. It takes out tomato soace, grease, blood, red wine... pretty much anything I've tried it on. (Not as effective on ball point pen ink.) It often works on stains that have been through the washer and dryer, too. You spray it on, rub it in, wait a few minutes, then wash normally in warm or hot water. It hasn't harmed any fabrics for me.
