ok so like 2 days ago he had what i thought were ant bites, there were about 10 covering his body (mostly on legs and torso) the next day he woke up and he had a rash all over. the most severe is on his face (resembles baby acne, but its not) he has pin sized pumps on his torso, back and a few on his legs and there is a few now on his hands (2 days after the rash started) the dr doesnt think it is chicken poxs because they arent itchy, but she is sending me to another dr later this week. the dr also brought up fifths disease as a possibilities, and she said it is not hands feet mouth disease. he doesnt have a fever, and really hasnt been bothered by the rash. any ideas what else it could be? thanks in advanced.

I wouldn't worry too much. A similar thing happened to my son at about eight months. It was shortly after he started eating real solid food and the daycare gave him pineapple. Has your son had citrus fruit? Sometimes the acid is kinda strong for them and they get a rash. It doesn't mean that they are allergic, just means it was kind of a shock to them, is what my doc told me. My son's went away in a few days. We waited until he was older than one year to give him more citrus fruits and now he can't get enough! He's not allergic to oranges, grapefruits, lemons, limes, pineapple. I'd say just be patient and if it doesn't go in a couple days, give the nurse line another call. Good luck!

It may be a food allergy reaction. My 1-year-old nephew used to have many rashes (that also didn't really bother him) and he was recently diagnosed with a peanut & egg allergy. They are also stripping milk and wheat products from his diet for a few weeks to see if the rashes will go away.

Yea i brought my 8 week old to the hospital last week because of it.The Dr. said it was a viral rash and because her white count was high and she had a UTI they gave her IV antibiotics. She was given rosephin, or however its spelled. By the next day the antibiotics kicked the rashes butt!!! It was almost gone by the next day

my daughter had gotten a rash on her neck, back, chest, stomach and butt area. i took her to the doctor and the pediatrician just told me that all she had was a Viral Rash. there was nothing i could put on it to make it go away. that it will just go away on it's own. about 3 - 4 days later it just disappeared.

maybe your son has a Viral Rash?

Have you switched laundry detergents, or using a new soap or something. It might be an allergic reaction to something.
