They were supporting the troops at the GOP convention when they wore band aids with purple hearts printed on them; mocking all veterans and the medals they won.
Mocking the whole process medals are awarded by questioning the validity of the awarding of the Silver Cross to John Kerry.
Electing someone who deserted on his own duty in the Air National Guard as president and a draft dodger as vice president.
Rumsfeld blaming the troops for his failures by saying you go to war with the Army you have not the one you wish you had.
Basically blaming the generals and troops for the failures of those who didn't plan the war.
Not providing body armor or decent equipment.
Extending their tours beyond any reasonable expectation with no opportunities for rest or being with their families.
Subjecting women in the military to sexual harassment and then prosecuting them when they refuse to go back for more harassment.
Not attending funerals or talking to grieving parents.
Not allowing flag draped coffins to be shown in the news.
Sending everyone but themselves or their own children to fight.

82% of Conservatives ARE the troops. Now, I can't speak for others but we sponsor two troops through Treats for Troops Program once or twice a year. I also support the VFW and have volunteered at the USO at the airport. What have you done lately?
