I am in great need of a new mp3 player, but aren't sure what to get. I was hoping someone might have any suggestions for one that is compatible with a mac and possibly itunes, where all of my music currently is. I also can't get one that is too expensive either. Thanks for any suggestions!

As far as I know, iTunes is still incompatible with mp3 players other than iPods. Because of this proprietary practice I had to purchase TWO different players, and iPod for iTunes and a Creative Ven Vision M for all others like Napster etc. I am very unhappy with iTunes for not allow other mp3 players to access their site.
Creative makes great mp3 players. Depending on the memory capacity, the price goes from moderate to high the more gigs you get. If you watch Napster, they will offer great incentives like rebates on mp3 players if you sign up for their service. I don't know, but maybe yahoo music and other music services also offer rebates. Amazon also has some really good prices from time to time.

The best mp3 player to buy is mostly a iPod nano,it costs alot of money but its the only one i think to be compatible with mac and iTunes

I like my Creative Zen. But I suggest you read the MP3 buying guide on ebay. Lots of good info there.

I agree with sidoly (however you spell that) , but anyways, DO NOT get an ipod, they're a total waste of money and not worth the plastic that they're made of, check out this link and read the best answer (by me) , I promise you wont regret it.

go to uxcell.com they have good cheap mp3 players ,but it takes 7 to 14 days to get it ,because it is coming from hong kong!!!!!

I-pods they're expensive but worth it and of course come with I-tunes
And if you can't afford it try shuffle
and if that doesn't work I would search like
