Country-side of the burbs. I live 15 minutes from a big city but I have a couple of acres of land and most of my neighbors have horses and at least an acre of land. The houses are close together where we can get to know one another but not too close like in a typical suburb.
I just love it. I am just far enough at times to get to see plenty of stars at night, not nearly enough in my opinion, but still close enough to the city to see an opera or attend a monster truck event.
