I have seen these socks with either fancy fur or beads around the cuffs...Can't quite figure out how to do it...Seems like a basic chain but I cannot seem to duplicate...Does anyone make these?

Thanks for the warning, but these socks are decorative only...not for toddlers who can remove and put into mouth. Only for responsible, thinking parents (my friends and family.)

Does anyone know how to make them...So far, no answers really help me. Thanks

It isn't hard. You have to use a really small needle, though, or you end up with big holes in the socks.
First, decide how many stitches you need. Insert the needle and pull up a loop, then do one single crochet. Do this evenly all the way around for the number of stitches you need, kind of like a foundation chain. After that, it is just like regular crochet. Don't forget, if you want to use beads, you have to string them first. I recently found a yarn by moda dea that is prestrung called beadnik. I haven't tried it yet but it looks like fun. You can use just about any kind of yarn and kids love them. Email me if you have any other questions. Good luck.

Beads should be a big NO-NO on baby socks, too many babies pull them off and suck on their socks to make me comfortable with beads. Fun fur yarns, IMO, aren't wise either because the fur can be pulled off and swallowed, but if you have to do it, take an embroidery needle threaded with matching perle cotton and buttonhole stitch around the sock, then join your yarn in these stitches and sc around, joining at the end or the round, working the next round as desired.

You might will like this solution . Look at the crochet scarf pattern at this page.

It does imitates fur, easy to do, not dangerous for the baby.
Good luck with your project!

They might be knitted rather than crochet. I wouldn't use beads for a baby though.
