Would you prefer that monarchy above democracy or any other socialistic modern form ?
I think a new heir to the throne like Prince William could bring Great Britain back to normaliczy. What do all of you think about this?

In all honesty YES, Why? because a true democrasy should be manifested willfully by a monarch in proper duminium legitimate ancestor aknowledging democrasy in the system of governance, rewritten its citizens rights and previledges of which 3rd world didnt have. What I am against today about UK and Denmark , their allege installation of a puppet monarch that is not the valid heiress designated its state legitimate king, thus denying the right of the legitimate valid salic heiress. Currupting the salic heiress inheritance left in shadow of deprivation.

I know im not in britain but as an Australian I am still a part of the monachy, and we are a democracy. I think you mean a republic. Whether Prince William is at the throne or not does not change the way the country is run. Now days royalty does not run the country. The government does. They have (as do we) a Prime Minister.
If Prince William is at the throne I think the royal family would be liked a whole lot more than if it was Charles.

O.o Honestly? The only beef I have with the whole system is the way in which our votes aren't favoured in equal lights - our First Past The Post system is incredibly undemocratic and illusive. As to the monarchy - I think they're part of our nation's heritage and shouldn't be "overthrown" or "disbanded" as I keep reading around here. Lest you all forget its pushing 1000 years old now, and thats not exactly something you should bump off for want of a bit of popularity.

We've got ourselves a Constitutional Monarchy, whereby our Royal Family acts like a figurehead of government. The actual power is wielded by Downing Street, and although the monarch can veto some actions the rest is really down to who us commoners put in charge.

Do you know what else I keep reading? "omg won't Prince _____ be the best King ever" - for the love of everything British, being attractive does not make you a good monarch!

The last time I looked, Britain was a democracy with a constitutional monarch as head of state. And Prince Charles is heir to the throne.

The government in great Britain is a Constitutional monarchy. It is democratic. The Monarch is little more than a figurehead.
Back to normalization? What is that? Certainly not a government under George W! That is not a democracy. It simply hides behind the name of democracy!

First off I'm an American who is in favor of the British monarchy and I'm definitely in favor of Prince William becoming king but you all need to give it time. I know Queen Elizabeth is old but she's not harming Britain. I know a lot of controversy will come out of Prince Charles' reign but you just need to let the succession laws run their course.

well the government is slow...and is plastered with paperwork which is all that counts...we may as well build our houses with it. the government is so corrupt, they lie in cheat and its disgusting...

...but the monarchy don't even have decent qualifications so i doubt that'll work

i'm more of a socialist. so i would mind something along those lines...governments should be run by the people for the people kind of thing...because it's no use doing what the public don't want

the British monarch is a figurehead only based on tradition. the actual ruler is a Prime Minister and is based on democracy with socialism.

Read the history you will find that monarchy is disastrous without the control of parliament

No, because monarchy is a flawed system and in no way whatsoever represents the will of the informed majority. Prince william is a **** with no definite values and an idiocy unparelled.
