If you're referring to the episode Denno Senshi Porygon, it was banned from airing after it caused 700 epileptic seizures in Japan. Pokemon went on hiatus for 4 months afterwards. Its release on DVD was altered to slow down the flashing scene.

I don't know of that episode, but, they don't play the 1st season of Pokemon anymore! >:l lol. Hope this helps!
