I mean, it's obviously great when you deliberately make someone happy, because you were trying to do it, but sometimes you're just goofing around, and someone's delighted by it. I was happily hopping about at work, listening to my MP3 player, when the cleaner told me how long and tiresome his shift had been, and that I'd made his day, just by being happy. That was kinda cool.

i know what u mean, i was in the emergency room at the hospital recently feeling pretty damn crook, until i heard the man in the bed next to me being told he had a brain tumour! he got up not long after to go to the bathroom and as he walked by my bed we made eye contact and i extended my hand, i held his hand briefly and just smiled at him, no words, when he came back he thanked me and said that small gesture had made him feel a little better, not so lonely and a little less afraid, it wasnt something i planned it just happened but it felt good, positive connections with other people can really make a difference whether they incidental or planned
