I think it's a very pretty name, and I don't think it's all that common anymore. It's not like every other child will be named Shannon.

Shannon is common, but that's not always bad. My friends name is Shannon and we call her Shay.

as much as you like it, so did about a million other moms. I dunno how common it is these days, but when I went to school we had sometimes like 5 Shannon's in one class. I have like 3 on my MSN right now. its really common...or at least was.

very common, but nice. The 2 n's make it a little different. Maybe put it with a unique middle name to spice it up.

i like the name but i think that it is mayb a lil too common and your child is unique so it should have a unique name. but good choice

Good name! (my sister's name) Another good spelling could be Shannyn, and the middle name could be Lexi, or Alexa, or Ashley.
