What would the best kind of litter to get for a baby Ferret?

Your can get special ferret litters or otherwise use paper litter such yesterdays news.
Make sure the ferret is fed on a proper ferret food and not a cat food. Frankie ferret or James Wellbeloved are great diets. You can also get harnesses for you lickle ferret so you can show him the world without him getting harmed. I would recommend getting your ferret vaccinated against distemper (ask your vet) and also i would consider him neutered.
If its a female you need to get her spayed as adult ferrets are constantly in season and only come out of season once mated. If un-speyed she runs the risk of becoming anaemic and very poorly.

we use Yesterday's News for our ferrets, and no problems so far.
you can also try Super Pet Critter Litter, or Marshall Ferret Litter. Go to your pet store and see what they recommend

edit- like butterflychampain said, not all cat litters are suitable for ferrets, so don't go with the first one you see. i only know of yesterday's news

Even though I don't have ferrets I've heard that it's probably best to give out old paper scraps to them. If you have a shredder then you could use the paper from there instead of throwing it away, plus I don't think many people would look at your bills, details etc. with ferret muck on them :)

DONT use cat litter......i had ferrets and there is always a good veriety at your local pet store.....just don't buy cat litter or wood chips.....

compressed news paper pellets. do not use wood chips it is bad for ferrets.

we always use sawdust,but make sure it is untreated as it can make them ill otherwise.my ferret lived till she was 13 with no problems,dont use newspaper as the ink can poison them and kill them
