Are you talking about the manual? if it is new then it should have manual.New electronic devices come with manual.
Are Side kicks unlockable? i don't know but if it is possible to unlock a Side Kick then you can use it in Ghana with a pay to go SIM card.

SIM cards are common and easy to find.They are on display and sold usually at roadside.The charges are per second billing.you only pay for the seconds you use,no rounding up or off.
