If you have a gas heated back boiler in your living room than you must have a permanently open ventilator to prevent a build up of carbon monoxide gas, a gas inspector will cut of your supply if you have not all new double glazed windows are required by law to have ventilators fitted. I have also fitted a carbon monoxide detector for peace of mind, well worth the small expense I think.

most windows come with night vent,so you've got air flow, but there is a legal issue, its called vent check, like for like the windows you take out,the new ones should have at least the same ventilation, good idea to have fire escape?if your looking for good window company, they should be FENSA approved, good idea whatever windows you have fitted, make sure you could get out in a emergency,HOPE THIS HELPS
