The local tip took our computer monitor and the council picked up a fridge, oven and washing machine for nothing. Give yours a ring, or I arranged ours through one email.

Ring your local council. They have a responsibility in helping their residents look after the environment by assisting in the removal of unwanted bulky stuff.
They usually charge £30 for a maximum of 3 items.
Good Luck!

Our local council will remove these items for a small fee. check out your local council website - I am certain they have to provide some appropriate disposal for fridges as they can damage the environment

TRy your local freecycle group. Freecycle is a group to keep stuff out of landfill. You join it free, advertise your stuff for free and someone who can use it takes it away for free. It doesnt cost anyone anything.
It's a brilliant site and operates worldwide.

Surprising that the tip won't take them. Phone your council and ask them.
