More than likely, I would be screwed, but I won't give up.
I've heard that when faced with large predators, it's better to make plenty of noise so to show the attacker that you are NOT dead and won't go without a fight....

but I still think I would be screwed.

I guess the first thing would be to quickly assess your situation. If the lions are right there looking at you, move slowly and I think maybe confidently as these are trained animals, they may not think you are food if you act like their you are as comfortable with them as their trainer might be. They will probably sense fear as well. Someone will surely have seen you fall in, so I would try not to scream at first. Unless of course you broke some bones in the fall, then it may be to late you may already be screaming, and the smell of any blood may assure your doom before anybody can help you. But lets say, you didnt break any bones, your on your feet , your being confident, and you cant crawl out or be eased up over the fence since in most zoos the lions are down pretty far, and the lions are coming at you like food....then I would say yell at them, scream, hold your jacket out like a giant bird and make yourself appear bigger than you are. That's the advice " the worst case scenerio" book gives if you are face to face with a bear, or a mountain lion or something. Also, maybe it would be a good idea to look for a weapon. A big sturdy stick, heavy rocks..something you could fight them with, prefferably at a distance. LOL What a question!! What made you think of that????

depends on the lions ,how they were treated
and how you react

you could die
or survive if you kept still and did not shake too much
the trick is to look the lions in the eye ,but if they are females they will circle you asand the ones with who you have lost eye contact will jump on you

you usually die of shock and it is fairly quick
if the y maul you you would die of gangrene
lions have foul mouths because they eat meat
and have a lot of bacteria

i used to work with lions and tigers in a safaripark and 2 people died in the time that i was there
they were tourists who got out of the car ,thinking that the lions were tame
but these lions were badly treated by there ownners so welcomed the chance of getting their own back

but lions are very individual and have very different characters like people ,

i used to have a nap on the belly of one big Lion
but a lot of younger lionesses would have ripped me apart if they had the chance and almost did one time when i got in the middle of them

Well, the first thing you could do is not to run away. put your hand in his mouth, all the way in, that way he can't bite you. keep his paws down. And hope you don't die.
i have been actually been attacked by a lion in Africa, that's what i did and it worked!
