I have a very difficult, foreign name, but people eventually learn it. I feel like a retard because I can not remember a simple American name like Mike. What the? I even forget the name of my close friends sometimes. How can I remember peoples names easily? I'm in my teens. Can it be that i let other things distract me at that moment? I should wear my glasses.

Unless it's someone important don't worry about. Most people when you meet them again it will go something like this..
"Hey"
Hi
How are you?
Great, you?
Oh by the way what was your name again?
Mike. I forgot urs too.

there is a disease that has been discovered that results in the inability to match names with faces or remember the names of people. it comes in all different strengths. get yourself checked out by a doctor.i remember reading an article about this

It helps me to match the names with the faces. That may not sound helpful, but it really is helpful to have a visual image in her head to match the name, especially if you're a visual learner (like I am). Just try to connect the two.

in step with hazard subconsciously you do not likely care, because you often do not overlook issues you care approximately. precise once you meet the guy, attempt repeating their call in the time of the communication ex: "hi i'm Mike" "hi i'm (your call right here), superb to fulfill you Mike." or you need to affiliate a particular trait with the guy you meet so as that way once you spot them the subsequent time you are able to bear in concepts "hi, it fairly is Mike, he likes spaghetti" or something like that.

Someone can say Hi I'm Joe Shmoe and I couldn't repeat their name after they say it to save my life. I'm terrible about that.

remebering names for many folks, like myself is a LEARNED skill. i meet new people every week when i'm DJing in the club, and i want them each to feel as if they are important to me. i use little rhyming tricks to associate their names and faces. i met "DAVE". he has a beard, so he doesn't SHAVE. i met "LISA". she has acne, looks like PIZZA. i met "LARRY" pretty wierd so kind of SCARY. etc.
