why do men tell lies?

I want to know why men tell so many lies....come on men answer yourselves.........is it because you dont want to hurt our feelings? A truthfull answer please.
The reason I ask is because last month, I asked " is my partner cheating on me"? because he was on the pc more often than not and always erasing the history....alot of you said I should talk to him....I had already done that..thousands of times...and he lied...and said he had been up to nothing on the PC.....as a last result I put a key logger on the PC. and guess what he was cheating....even though I has seen everything he had written for days...he still denied it.....so come what make you men do it??

I hate lies although i have lied but nowhere as much as my partner she has lied to me so many times even when i knew the truth she still lied ,i said if you can't face me then talk to me from the other side of the door ,she still lied so i said tell me in a letter and guess what yes she lied again.As for why do men lie not all men are the same but i have not met a woman yet who has not lied to me .I think the more trusting you are the more people lie to you.You sound like one of the good ones and i am sorry to say it is the good ones ( men and women ) that get hurt and once you have been hurt it is hard to trust and sometimes it will make a good person lie to get their own back or just because it is to hard to fight anymore.

I think both men and women lie, and nowadays women are just as bad as men. Men/women usually cheat cos they are comfortable in the relationship they're in and get greedy or because nowadays there are many women that don't care if a man is taken or not and would offer themselves on a plate to a man regardless of him being married or not. I believe the reason your man never told you about the net could be cos he knew it was wrong and not something you'd be happy about and the reason he denied it is because like every other man, he forgot that women are not as stupid as men.( He probably thought if he stuck to the story, you'd eventually believe it) Even though cyber/phone sex is not 'real', the INTENTION is. So in my book that is cheating. You obviously knew something was wrong, but to be honest ask yourself if the relationship is worth holding onto as any type of deception loses trust. If you think you and your man can work things through, then keep at it. But remember, there's no point in being with someone when you're constantly wondering what they're up to.

Its the same that make women lie.
Lying is trying to conceal something that would get you in trouble if you told the truth.

So he just did not want you to know he was cheating so he could keep you as well. This maybe was because he felt you would not want to be with him anymore if you knew you were not the only women in his life. In this case i would say it is only because he wanted you and another girl at the same time, knowing that you would not be okay with it.

You can bet on it that this is the wrong partner for you if you wish to be in a monogamous relationship

Women and men are exactly the same when it comes to lying.-

But girl, get real, doing something on the internet is never cheating. Maybe he just has fun there and knows you would be hurt if you found out. Cheating is physical. Even if he would do cybersex, it would be quite okay. Its the same as phone sex, and dont tell me that would be cheating too.

Well, Good question. Men (and I am one also) were born liars. We lie all the time just to keep things under control. Yesterday I did a lie-count check and averaged 3.43 per hour. But these also included "white lies" which aren't really that bad. Without them it would only be about once every hour. I think it has something to do with our brain function being so different to woman. There are loose connections between the two hemispheres and we don't really know how to deal with that...so we lie. It is just kinda easy like drinking beer and burping.

Wow, thats not trusting. How can the internet be classed as cheating? Nothing can happen, and chances are the other person is miles away.

Men do lie.. I won't deny, however I suggest you look into things a bit more instead of jumping to conclusions.

It sounds like you like to spy.. then try following him or something. Its wrong for you to spy, but its wrong to cheat..

Frequently, cheating is a sign of immaturity or low self-esteem. Sometimes it's just a sign of selfishness... Men AND women lie about cheating, my friend... nobody wants to admit to that (understandably).... It's a crappy thing to do to someone... Don't let this make you think all guys do it, or that guys lie constantly... After all, how many times have you told another woman they looked "ok" or "great" when you know dang well you didn't mean it -- just to spare their feelings... Women lie lie lie too... I've been cheated on several times, and they lied about it, duh!!! It's not about being male or female, it's about being decent or not... ok? sorry your b/f is an Asstec... better luck next time...

Lies, lies. I've been a liar all my life, thru two marriages and only got caught a few times. Why lie?Because telling the truth starts a conversation that never ends, it makes wives(unbeknown to them) happy to hear what they want to hear, and makes life better for liars like me.
