I want your thoughts on this one both positive and negative, and what you think the chances are that his career is really over.

There is a rumour that the surgery he had put a couple of guys into retirement. I heard it on WKNR this afternoon, (local sports radio in Cleveland). They said we can definitely count him out for this season, and his career might be over if he does not heal correctly, or, do the process correctly.

No he came back from injury to be an all-pro level tight end(2006). Though this newest one is a bit of a set back I believe his arrogance will prevent him from giving up. But another couple of more injuries and he's out.

WHAT?! Unless something just happened to him recently that I haven't heard of, this is the guy who just set the Browns' single season receptions record(89). He had off-season knee surgery to repair torn cartilage and remove scar tissue. Guys have that done all the time and are back with no ill effects. Like I said though, I haven't heard if there is a new injury. If not, how could this even be a discussion. If there is something new, then he will overcome it. For all his yapping about being a soldier, he is very dedicated and determined. He's brash but he has to be. He's living under a Hall of Fame shadow. I'm not a huge fan of his although I do see the immense talent that he posses and the insatiable drive to win that he has. I say he has another 10 or more years left in him. Good years too.

He is essentially done - finished. He might put on a uniform again, but he'll be an average to below average tight end. Only a dumb *** would ride a motorcycle with a contract like that.

No remember he is (in a cracking pubescent voice)
AN F'n Soldier!
He's a douche.
Decent player though. I just wish he'd stop thinking he was the Sh*t and just play team football (being a dumba$$ on a motorcycle)

Even if his career is not over he is still a bust. He is an idiot! Now every time people talk about how good his dad was they will say yeah but Jr. was a bust and a loud mouth!

Kellen Winslow retired a long time ago.

My statement is correct you are talking about Kellen Winslow JR.
