There are many good products on the market. First, you must ask "How much do I want to spend?" That will give you a baseline to follow when you do to the store. I have found that I get the best products at the best price from the local retailer who carries store brands. My favorite is a bath and body lotion that you use when you get out of the shower. It is both cheap and effective.

Clinique 3-step is great for me.

Depends on your skin type, really. Men's products tend to be less gentle, but if your skin is in good condition I don't see why you couldn't use "female" products. It's not like anyone sees what's in your bathroom.

Go to a department store (Sears, The Bay, etc. at least here in Canada...) and you can get a skin consultation for free at various counters like the Clinique ones, and they can determine your skin type and what products work for you.

Or go to sephora.com and click "skincare" and then do a bit of research.
