Than in any other Arab country?
Not harassed by male domination
Educated,
High Level of Professionals, Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers etc
Will they enjoy this under the Imams of Iran after we have gone?

Another miscalculation by the Bush regime.... shame.

Under Saddam, women were not only educated and equals, but their education was top notch and FREE. So was their health care. People who were without food were given food. People without homes, were given homes. All paid for by Saddam. The only reason we went there in the first place was to satisfy Israel. They hated the fact that Saddam was wealthy and his country was prospering. They wanted him taken down and we are complying by murdering hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children. You are right. It is a shame.

No one really knows what the Iraqi women went through under Saddam..except the Iraqi women themselves. Yes, some have come to the U.S. and depending on whose side they are on, have offered their renditions of Saddam's treatment. One issue is clear however. Many Iraqi women are highly educated. There were many many professionals as you stated - doctors, lawyers., teachers, professors,as well as scientists, writers, etc. Today given the Iraqi horrors, and further given little other choice, many many have left Iraq. Perhaps someday they can return to a peaceful secure Iraq.
With Iraqi leaders. Not the Americans.

you have to be kidding. Thosands of Iraqis have died because of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, that's no longer because of Bush. We got here to overthrow Saddam, create a more beneficial useful authorities for Iraq and leave. yet Al-Qaeda attacked, and created the chaos. we are scuffling with Al-Qaeda on the grounds of Iraq. This conflict isn't adverse to Iraq yet adverse to the terrorists. Iran helps terrorists in Iraq besides.

Now ironically Iran is one of the next arab countries with many freedoms for women yet they are on Bushs hit list.
Most people are not intelligent enough to do the research on the countries themselves, they just believe the lies the media feeds them.

It is our supposed "allies" in the muslim world that are the worst violaters of womans rights, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Go figure.

to son of G about enemies abroad...
perhaps had you not sided with the hated Kuwait, you wouldn't have had so many enemies in the mid-east.
and your presense as an occupying force is probably causing more violence then before your attack.

Systematic rape and being hung upside down during your period - things Saddam was responsible for - don't sound so emancipated to me.

YOu could not be less correct, I don't give a rust rats a** about what this has to do with bush, but you are wrong....try doing some more research like how many women under his rule were stoned to death and had their limbs cut off, gang raped etc........if that is emancipation, no thanks.

If you call being abused and being raped, and getting your chopped off if you didnt have sex with your husband or let him hit you,not being able to dress like a normal civilian, not being able to vote, and not being able to go to school, emancipated. then sure.
