using laptop display?

I have a Toshiba satellite laptop and it have a vga port on it i guess to connect a monitor or projector too. is there anyway i can hook up my pc to it to use the laptop for my monitor? i know its possible but how do i do it

No, the VGA port is outgoing only.

You are correct that you can hook the laptops VGA Port to a monitor or projector, but you cannot use the laptops display for your PC's second monitor .. sorry

You cant.
The connections are for your laptop to send a video signal out, you cant use it as a video in.....
