what are some self-defense mechanisms u have? for me, i noticed that whenever i feared rejection, i would create a persona for the person to reject that wasn't me, so that the person would be rejecting that creation and not me. but i regret now not giving the girl the chance to really know, even if it would hurt. is this mechanism healthy, and what are your mechanisms?
