Yes u are too young to be drinking obviously! these days teens think that just because they turn 18 or whatever that they know everything and they are adults.
But this whole country knows that the legal age to be drinking is 21, and there is a reason for that.
Stop trying to fit in with ur friends and learn to make a responsible decisions that will help for ur own good. just because u drink doesnt make u any more grown up or any better.
yes just like u said u only live once, (but not in the way u meant it) so take care of ur health and dont get these habits that can harm u in the long run.

well first of all i dont wanna be a hypocraite and say yes ur too young, because i did that too when i was 16, im 23 now, so im not that much older than u, and i wont tell u that ur too young for drinking, but u are too young to get drunk, there is a difference. u dont wanna lose control of urself at a high school party. u watch the news dont u. besides ull regret it in the morning when u wake up with that hangover. and in some cultures children as young as 12 have wine with dinner. just dont drink at parties becuase u think thats the cool thing, or because ur bf is doing it. u can have a lot of fun sober too. at least when ur sober ull actually remember those fun moments. so just be careful with the alcohol level. and never think that ur ok to drive if ur drinking. just be responsible and careful.

Yes, drinking at any age under 21 is too young. I am 18, and I am not going to lie, I've drank once or twice at family dinners, a glass a champagne or wine or whatever, but I consider that to be different than partying. When you get drunk, your decision making abilities are inhibited... and besides, don't you want something to look forward to on your 21st birthday? However it is a person decision that you need to make for yourself. Maybe it's fun, but at 16 there are a lot of other ways to be having fun. You do want to remember your teen years and not be trying to remember what you did at that party with that random guy while you were smashed...

You have your entire life to drink. It really angers me when I hear about teenagers going out drinking and going to parties and getting wasted and doing. drugs and whatnot.

Teenagers are too irresponsible and immature to be drinking at age 16,17, etc. There's a reason why the drinking age is 21. Live your life as a kid right now. There are many ways to have fun rather than drinking and going to parties.

I'm 19 and when I did drink, it was once in a blue moon. I'm pregnant now, so I haven't drank anything since then. But I'd be at home and would stay there. & I'd be with my parents or my boyfriend. That's it.

You have your whole life ahead of you, wait until the legal age and then you can drink legally for years to come. Until then, I wouldn't be drinking.

That's just my opinion.

Yes you are too young to be drinking. I am sorry but they set laws on drinking age for a reason. You are allowed to drink at the age of 21 because you are sopposed to be responsible enough to not drive while drinking, sleep with anyone you meet and get aids, or hurt yourself or others while drinking. At 16 you are just concerned with having a good time and dont really care about being responsible. You will learn in time that you dont have to be drunk to have fun. I have fun all the time and never drink.

Why do you drink? Do you drink with the intention of getting drunk? Do you drink because everyone else is?

If so, then you probably are too young. There are many reasons to drink, and I don't agree that at 21 you are magically old enough to drink, (or not drink).

You're the only one who can answer this question honestly. No matter the age however, NEVER get behind the wheel after drinking, or get in the same car as a drunk driver!!! (I lost several friends in a car crash as a result....)

Sweetie, drinking at parties is the primary reason girls your age get pregnant, raped, or both. You only live once, but you do want that once to last longer than tomorrow night, don't you?

If you need to drink to have fun, then you are an alcoholic. Pure and simple. Get help before you wind up in alley.

teens are special but if you want to remember them don't drink tooooo much coz you wont remember a thing, also you don't need to drink to have fun i have had the best times watching everybody else make a fool of themselves out of there head with drink it's so funny sometimes, but on a serious note drinking when young is no good for you and its not safe walking the streets when you had too much to drink anything could happen that wouldn't be fun at all would it

Girl, you are way too young to be drinking. you should not even drink after you turn 21 cuz you never know what can happened. What would you do if somebody put something in your drink & you don't know? Then you get raped & ur pregnant? What will you do? just something for you 2 think about.

I actually was dating a 21 year old when I was 17 so i was drinking too.

Now im in my early twneties and i rarely drink..maybe because i got it out of my system at a young age? Who knows...

In some provinces in Canada though the drinking age is 17-18 and many European countries have a lower drinking age...
