Even in our modern world, wherein we create technology to escape the trappings of our misdeeds, it seems that both are indeed inherent in our existence. Hubris is most definitely a human trait that has not yet been expunged, and, if people are as narcissistic as they seem, then indeed nemesis will be the counter to hubris in many cases. It is unfortunate that that current events serve as such a potent demonstration of hubris and nemesis. The diminishing of human life in order to artificially increase another is deplorable and is usually, and justly, met with reckoning.
