A lot of universities will let you get an MBA without work experience.

However, my opinion is that those schools are not worth going to.

Schools ranked in the top 15 will allow you to get a job in any field of business. Graduates of these schools usually have several six figure offers. Almost all of these schools want three to five years of work experience.

Schools that are ranked -- but not in the top 15 -- will allow graduates to get a job in many fields and will give them a large enough increase in pay to make the degree worth while. The higher the ranking, the more job offers and the higher the pay. Almost all of these schools require three years of work experience.

Schools that are not ranked may be worth while if you go part time, your company pays for your education and you do not plan to switch jobs after graduating. Otherwise, they are really not worth the effort. Some of these schools do not require work experience.

The one way to go to a good MBA program without work experience is to get your undergraduate degree from that school and enter into a special program. For example, one of my students at Wharton got into a combined BS/MS/MBA program at Wharton that started in what would have been her senior year of college. But that is pretty rare.

My advice to you is to work for at least three years -- then go to the best MBA program that you can get into.

Try a new busness school in US that has just come up and with a high GMAT score. There are many universities in India which would give you MBA without professional experience. You can find some online MBA programs as well. But why pick up MBA without professional experience. Earn while you learn and use the money to get into good scholl after two years. You will manage the hard days of the MBA years better and with greater confidence.

The reason why they ask for the work experience is because employers who recruit MBAs want you to have that level of work experience. So if you can wait, and do a year or so of work, it will benefit you both in your MBA applications, and also in your job search once you graduate.

However, most programs don't require the work experience, they simply strongly prefer it. And if you focus on less-competitive MBA programs, you'll be more likely to find one that will admit you despite your lack of experience. But again, that will impact your employability upon graduation.
