I want to be able to burn a disc that, when you put it in a CD player, it plays like a normal CD. But when you put it into a DVD player, it can show a menu that lets you play videos or a photo slideshow. I remember these discs being very popular in the late 90s, with the ability to put the disc into your CD-ROM and view pictures of the musicians and such. Can this be done with a standard DVD-RW drive? If so, please tell me how, and point me to some software that lets me set the disc up that way! Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can burn both video and music on a cd, not a dvd. Both cd roms and dvd players will be able to play them. Remember, tho, that video uses space like crazy, so watch your available disc space as you go. I don't know which burning program you're using, but nerovision express and nero burning rom should be able to perform your desired tasks.
