There are no steps to it. It will happen when you are ready. It's the same as asking "what are the steps to gettting adult teeth". It just happens.

What do you mean by 'what are the steps'? I'll give you the basics. Most girls get their periods between the ages of 13 and 15, but it can spill over either way and some get it earlier and some later. It's important to remember that everyone is different as far as this goes. It might take a while to stabilize, but eventually it should happen about every 28 days or so, but once again it may vary slightly for different people. If at first or even later if your period is a bit late, don't panic, it's usually nothing.
That's basically it, but I'd suggest speaking to someone who's had theirs for a while, ask about their experience with it.

It will just happen for you within the next 2 or 3 years. If you are lucky it will happen at home where you can deal with it discreetly and talk about it with mom. If you are like most of us you will have an extremely traumatizing first period at school where everyone will see and you will be made to feel ashamed of yourself by the b*tchy clique. I hope you experience the former because the latter can reverberate throughout the rest of your school years. Even though these girls who make fun have likely experienced the same thing.
Enjoy what time you have left without the damned thing because while you get used to managing it - it never stops being an awful inconveniece.

First, you will start to notice breast formation (That is tanner stage I) Usually this starts around age 10 or so.
Then you will start to notice some hair growth around the groin area.
Then you will start to get some growth spurt.
After that, a period can happen at any time, just hope and pray it doesn't happen when you are wearing white pants!!!
If you are worried, just wear a panty liner just in case.
You can google Tanner Stages for female puberty for more info.

you will have to be at least 100 pounds, have pubic hair, and your chest grow at least a little bit. and your period will just come one day with out you knowing it. go on the Internet and just type in periods or menstruating and a bunch of websites will pop up and explain every time detail for you.

There are no steps to getting a period...it just happens one day. There is nothing you can do to prevent/bring it.

No steps, it just happens when your body is mature enough. Nothing you can do about it.
