Alveoli. They are part of the lungs. The interior of the lungs branches into a tree-like structure, for maximum surface area. the alveoli are at the ends of the 'branches', and have a surface covered in capillaries. Oxygen passes through the walls of these capillaries and into passing red blood cells, while CO2 passes back out of them and into your lung to be exhaled.
