Hi when paying on line and it asks for a VISA credit card. If the card you own isnt a credit card but like a Visa debit or Electron can you still use it to pay for the goods or does it have to be the credit card. Thanks for your help.

Just select Visa as if you are paying with a credit card... I had the same worry, but you can use your debit card.

Most of the time electronic or debit visa works. Just give it a go, ( that is what I do, i have a visa debit card ) or just ask the person you are paying. Also if it is possible try and use paypal. It just makes online shopping safer. Hope it works for you

Some companies don't take the Visa Electron card and it is a shame because that is what I have but they do accept the Visa Debit Card.

You can use debit cards too.

If it's a visa-check card for instance, put it down as a visa!

if it is a visa debit you use it just like a credit card.......it will still come out of the account like a debit........but that is the convenience of having the visa logo, you can use it in these type of situations

My VISA debit card has worked fine practically everywhere used that way, except on VODAFONE UK's website where it insists you input your credit card details to fully unlock mobile internet access to verify your age.

Yes you can BUT BE CAREFUL!

Debit cards DO NOT CARRY the same fraud protection that credit cards do and if you get your card information stolen you might be subjected to all fees that you accumulate including bounced checks etc.
