Simple question:

do you, in general, prefer to say/to hear the truth or so say/to hear what is taken under the label "good sense"?

What do you say about that?

Tnx in antecipation!

I don't know what makes you assume that the truth is different than what would be called "good sense". In fact, most people would say just the opposite. If someone is "talking good sense", they're saying what is true. However, because people often disagree on what is true, what one person calls "good sense", another might call B.S., and vice versa.

I'll go with good sense. We might say we want to hear the truth, but that's just not the truth :-)

While the truth is very necessary, tempering it with good sense is the surest way to survive.
