The Gordie Howe hat trick is a goal, an assist, and a fight, all in one game. This is probably more entertaining for fans of the game than an actual hat trick where a guy scores three goals because this one involves a fight, which is one of the most exciting parts of the game that fans on both sides of the border love to death. Everybody in the game who talks against fighting saying that nobody likes it anymore has not watched and listened to fan reactions after fights during games. Don Cherry has, and he says let them go. In conclusion, the Gordie Howe hat trick is a goal, an assist and a fight in the same game. Not done that much, but always entertaining when it happens.

A Gordie Howe hat trick is 1 goal, 1 assist, and 1 fight in a game. An interesting factoid thought, is that Gordie Howe acheved this only once in his entire carrer, without looking it up I beleive it was against the Boston Bruins in the 1950's
Now looking it up I see that it was December 22, 1955 against the Bruins.
