As if a bank web site isn't using SSL encryption...

Anything that is using SSL (https://...) is encrypted and at the moment can't be cracked very quickly (might take a few years).

As long as you're using sites that use SSL encryption (start with https://.. ) you don't have much to worry about.

The rest of the people on here either don't know what they're talking about or they think that providing disinformation will scare you away from something that they think is "wrong".

that's not extra risky than on a secured community. prompt encryption is a shaggy dog tale, consistently has been. there is not any efficient risk-free practices for hassle-free prompt. the hazards with on line banking and whatnot lie in the way the servers safeguard the preparation, and how that the web content authenticate, no longer the relationship itself. that's why in spite of vast risk-free practices issues, we've nevertheless no longer seen any genuine SSL exploitation exterior of labs.

totally NOT safe, you should not do your banking on a public network, hackers love you, they can actually sit and pick up your login and password and get all your information with little effort.

Only do banking through secured private networks
