There is a food store up here that uses that in their jingle.
lol Thats Funny, Bottom Dollar means best buy. No not all Americans say that. That was a song from Annie, Lil Orphan Annie

Your "bottom dollar" was the last one in the stack (your last one) you'd only bet it on a sure thing.

Only really old Americans say that. Really, really old ones. Most of them will be dead soon. I suppose that it comes from the dollar on the bottom of the stack.

lol i have never said it except for one time i was making fun of my really old teacher who said that....

i think it mite more of a southern-american phrase and me being from the north-east, not many people say it.

It is a bit dated, so not many people still say it, but anyone who heard it would know what you were talkng about.
