My favorite alliterations come from the movie, The Wizard Of Oz. When the characters are first in the presence of the Wizard, we hear Scarecrow called a "billowing bag of bovine fodder", which is preety neat. But even better is what the Wiz says to the Tin Man: "You cantankerous collection of colligenous junk!" Oh, how the well spoken alliterative enhances speech!

Do I ever!

I was once writing a History paper on Galileo. I got to the part of his life where he had to leave one college and go to another because his beliefs contradicted Aristotle. As I was about to write about this, my girlfriend at the time (who was doing a paper for an English class) came upon the word "plethora" and challenged me to use it in the paper.

I wrote (of Galileo):

Being plagued by a plethora of peripatetics, he parted Pisa for a professorship at Padua.

I got an A. The only comment in the paper was a "Wow" next to that sentence.

Men use alliteration all the time especially when they are on the make. You know like ; call the observatory tell them" that some stars fell from heaven into your eyes."," your hair is as pretty as a pretty as a field of golden wheat waving in the summer breeze". Or," your so preciuos that all the animals gather round you like Snow White.Descriptions of your subject as well as its environment are allituration.
